Klavs Bundgaard

Klavs Bundgaard works in the coastal and estuarine dynamics department at DHI Denmark, as a project manager involved in dredging, harbour siltation, EIA, and other marine environmental studies. He helped develop DHI’s numerical software for cohesive sediments and dredging. He graduated from the Technical University of Denmark in 1998 with an MSc in Civil Engineering. In 2008 he received the Danish Engineering Society’s Diploma in Project Management from Copenhagen University College of Engineering.

Popular instruments in the field, optical backscatter instruments (OBS) are used to measure suspended sediments. The sensitivity of OBS measurements in relation to grain size and the applicability of OBS measurements in mixed sediment environments is analysed.
